Planning a party comes with questions. Here are some of the things people ask us most.
How do we book?
Contact James with your date, venue and event details. We’ll check availability, discuss your requirements and provide a quote. Payment and booking terms will be confirmed with you directly.
Can we choose the music?
Yes. Requests are welcome before and during your event. Send us your favourite tracks and any special songs in advance so we can plan around them.
Can you play our first dance?
Yes. Let us know the exact song and version in advance, along with when you would like it played.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Midsomer Norton near Bath and cover surrounding towns and villages. Contact us to discuss venues further afield.
How long does setup take?
Setup time depends on access, parking and the equipment required. We’ll agree timings for your venue when planning the event.
Can you set up earlier in the day?
Early setup may be possible. Mention it when you enquire so we can discuss availability and any additional cost.
Do you provide lighting?
Yes. We provide sound and LED lighting, with a setup suited to your occasion and venue.
Can we use a microphone for speeches?
Wireless microphones can be available for speeches and announcements. Let us know what you need when booking.
What if the venue has a sound limiter?
Tell us about any sound limiter or venue restrictions before booking so we can discuss the setup with you.
What are the deposit and payment terms?
James will confirm the applicable deposit, payment schedule and cancellation terms with your quote. Please ask for these before confirming your booking.
Can we see the disco before booking?
Take a look at our Photos and Videos pages for past setups and events. If you would like to see a public appearance, contact James to ask about any upcoming dates.
How much space do you need?
We have different setups for different spaces. Tell us about the room, stage area and guest numbers so we can discuss a suitable arrangement with your venue.
Can you provide music during our meal?
Background music may be possible if the setup is complete before your meal. Please include this in your enquiry so we can discuss timings and the music you would like.
What if you do not have a song we want?
Send special requests in advance, including the artist and version. We’ll do our best to include your choices and discuss any that need extra planning.
Can you play music for different age groups?
Yes. We draw on music from across the decades and adapt the selection to your guests, with room for your favourites and requests.
Can you stay later if the event overruns?
Discuss any possible extension with James. A later finish depends on availability, the venue’s restrictions and any additional arrangements agreed with you.
What happens if we need to cancel?
Contact James as soon as possible. The cancellation terms agreed with your booking will apply; ask for these when you receive your quote.
Can you work at an outdoor or marquee event?
Tell us about the venue before booking. We’ll need to discuss weather protection, access and suitable power with you and the venue.
What power supply is needed?
Please check the available supply with your venue and discuss the proposed setup with James. For generator-powered events, agree the requirements before hiring equipment.
Can you provide insurance or equipment information for our venue?
Contact James with the venue’s requirements before booking so that current documents and equipment arrangements can be discussed.
Will you follow our event’s dress code?
Let James know your preferred dress code in advance so this can be agreed as part of the arrangements.
Do we need to provide food?
Food is not a requirement. If you would like to include James in the catering arrangements, mention it when planning the event.
